My family’s stay at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort was enjoyable overall. the experience was marred a bit by the limited site space and issues with safety supervision. The location is fantastic for beach camping, and the amenities like the pool and movie nights added to the fun. However, I encountered some challenges with the shower facilities, which could use some improvements.

Rooms

Our campsite was spacious enough for our RV and included a picnic table. However, the pricing for larger sites felt a bit steep.
Service
6.0
Most of the staff were welcoming, but I had a less-than-pleasant interaction with a lifeguard who lacked attentiveness.
Location

The resort is perfectly situated near the beach and local attractions, allowing for an easy and fun getaway.
Dining

Dining options included light bites at the market, but could have been more varied and appealing.
Facilities

The amenities were decent, with a pool and recreational facilities, yet I found the shower system to be a hassle.

I recently stayed at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and learned that beach camping can be a blast! The friendly staff made check-in a breeze, but the showers had annoying timers that could be a hassle. The amenities like the water obstacle course were perfect for my kids, though the site space felt a bit limited for larger setups.

Rooms

My campsite had enough space for our RV, picnic table, and all the hookups I needed, though extra-large sites come at a steep price.
Service

The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and welcoming.
Location

The resort is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, perfect for enjoying the ocean waves and family fun.

I didn't experience dining options directly, but the convenience store nearby offered essentials for meals.
Facilities

The facilities were well kept, but the shower timers were a bit frustrating, which took away from the overall comfort.

My family and I recently stayed at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina, and overall, it was a nice experience. The friendly atmosphere, good access to the beach, and fun activities made our trip special. However, I did find the campsites a bit crowded and not as spacious as I hoped.

Rooms

Our campsite had full RV hook-ups and decent amenities, but the limited space made parking tough.
Service

Check-in was smooth, though I noticed that the staff could be overwhelmed at times.
Location

The resort's proximity to the beach was fantastic, but it is situated near the flight path of John Wayne Airport, which can be a bit noisy.
Dining

While we didn't dine on-site, the nearby restaurants and options were appealing. I particularly enjoyed exploring Mediterranean food.
Facilities

The amenities like the pool and private showers were good, but the shower timer was a little annoying. Plus, I wish there was a larger pet area.

I had a fantastic time at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort this summer. The location is beautiful and family-friendly, offering plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. I did notice some minor issues, like the crowded pool during peak hours and a few speeding cars in the resort, but overall, the positive experiences outweighed these concerns.

Our rental cottage had enough space for all five of us, but we arrived to some missing kitchen supplies and a sleeping mat for the loft. Thankfully, the management was very responsive and addressed our needs promptly.
Service

The staff, especially a kind gentleman from Tennessee, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They went out of their way to meet our requests, which made a difference in our overall experience.
Location

Newport Beach is stunning and the resort is conveniently located. However, I did find it sits right under the flight path for John Wayne Airport, which might bother some guests.
Dining

I loved the casual vibe at nearby Joe's Crab Shack, which is perfect for families. The seafood was delicious and it had a great atmosphere right by the water.
Facilities

The water park had fun attractions but was a bit pricey for the limited options. I enjoyed other activities like kayaking and swimming in the pool despite some cloudiness from beachgoers.

Overall, I had a mixed experience at Newport Dunes. The amenities offered plenty of fun for the kids, but there were issues with the condition of the cottage and customer service that soured my stay a bit. Still, the location and activities were enjoyable.

Rooms

I found the cottage to be quite run down and poorly stocked. It didn't match the luxury description advertised. There were several maintenance issues that needed attention, like a leaking slider door and broken window.
Service
5.0
I had some trouble with customer service, as my calls about various amenities went unanswered. When I approached the office, the staff seemed overwhelmed and disconnected, which was frustrating.
Location
5.0
While the location is scenic and right by the beach, it felt chaotic at times. The presence of nearby private restrooms and the flight path for the airport added to the overall messy feel.
Dining
7.0
One highlight was the delicious homemade ice cream available nearby, which was a fun treat for my family after a long day of activities.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, with lots of activities for families, although some like the Jacuzzis were closed during my visit, which was disappointing. The pool could've been clearer too.
